Attending face-to-face training

Where accreditation requires face-to-face course completion ensure you are prepared to get the most out of your training. Below is important information and access to relevant resources.

How to prepare: 

  • Before attending training, complete the session plans or presentations required for your course. Access your course-specific preparation tasks by selecting the appropriate button below.

  • Review course related resources (contained in the links above) 

  • Complete any e-learning required for accreditation before the face-to-face course 

  • Ensure you meet the accreditation requirements and skills.  

  • Save this web URL. 

What to bring to a face-to-face course: 

  • Completed session plans and any relevant teaching aids you require. 

  • Suitable clothing for on land, sailing and on powerboat. Such as wetsuit, life jacket and a warm set of clothes (spare) and waterproof jacket, etc.. 

  • Maritime Licence (if applicable in your state) 

  • Pen and a notebook. 

  • Water, snacks and lunch, depending on location 

Other useful information: 

  • You will not gain your accreditation with Australian Sailing until all course components (e-learning & face-to-face learning), and all other requirements have been met

  • Participants will need to be assessed as competent in the face-to-face course. Assessment during the course will be continuous with feedback provided. If competency is not achieved an action plan will be provided.
