Overview Regional Judges may chair a Protest Committee at club or regional level, conduct arbitrations, and consult with organisers and race officers to review race documents and procedures.

Accreditation & Re-accreditation
An official's accreditation starts when their application is approved by Australian Sailing, and lasts for four years. The requirements for re-accreditation are explained in the table below and in the Judge Accreditation Policy, available from the Judge Resources page.
Regional & National Judge |
Accreditation
- Be a current member of an Australian Sailing affiliated Club. - Agree to the Officials Code of Conduct. - Attend an Australian Sailing Regional or National Judge course. - Pass the Regional or National Judge Exam. - Complete a Practical Assessment.

Re-accreditation
- Be a current member of an Australian Sailing affiliated Club. - Agree to the Officials Code of Conduct. - Pass the Regional or National Judge Exam. - Complete a Practical Assessment.

Application Forms
Note that Accreditation is to be used by candidates that are not already accredited at the level (e.g. Regional Judges accredit for the National Judge accreditation). Re-accreditation instead is to be used by already accredited Judges that want to extend the same level of accreditation they have (e.g. Regional Judges re-accredit for the Regional Judge accreditation).
