The quick release trapeze harness requirements in the Racing Rules of Sailing have been pushed out to 2025.

Racing Rules of Sailing 50.1(c) requires that a trapeze shall be of the quick release variety complying with ISO 10862.

At the 2022 World Sailing mid-year meetings, a change to the rule was approved extending the effective date of this requirement from January 2023 to January 2025, giving manufacturers and competitors a further two years to comply.

No other aspect of the rule has changed. A class rule may still change this rule to permit trapeze harnesses that are not of the quick release variety.
