The 2025-28 Racing Rules of Sailing with Australian Sailing’s prescriptions have been published for competitors and race officials. The Rules include two main sections. The first, Parts 1–7, contains rules that affect all competitors. The second, the appendices, provides details of rules, rules that apply to particular kinds of racing, and rules that affect only a small number of competitors or officials 

The prescriptions apply to all events held by an Australian organising authority, typically clubs but sometimes class associations. The notice of race or sailing instructions may change a prescription, but only with Australian Sailing’s approval.
