An amendment has been made to the Special Regulations which allows boats to solely carry Electronic Navigational Charts on board.

Traditional paper charts are no longer being produced in some navigational areas by the Australian Hydrographic office and those existing paper charts will no longer have the ability to be updated.

With the new season of sailing kicking off and racing resuming in some parts of the country, clubs and officials need to be aware of the new amendment that has been added to the Special Regulations allowing boats to solely use Electronic Navigational Charts, i.e., paper charts are no longer required to be carried.
