Guidance on when to Report an Incident
Published Mon 27 Jul 2020
An Interpretation has been written to assist clubs with what criteria an incident needs to fit in order to be deemed reportable to Australian Sailing.
Incidents need to be reported, not as an opportunity to lay blame but to enable our sport as a whole to learn from the lessons and situations that occurred. This interpretation gives an example of the situations, incidents and near misses which should be reported.
The Interpretation for Special Regulation 2.02.5 can be found here https://www.sailingresources.org.au/safety/special-regs-interpretations/ on the resources page of the Australian Sailing website.
