Australian Sailing is committed to fostering a safe, fun, welcoming, and inclusive environment for everyone. Sailing is a sport that can showcase the diversity and inclusivity of our nation, and we strive to ensure all Australians feel a sense of belonging on and off the water.
Our goal is to make sailing a welcoming, respectful, and safe space for all communities. Through our initiatives, we’re breaking down barriers and ensuring everyone can experience the joy of sailing.
Inclusion, Diversity and Equity Advisory Group:
To support this commitment, Australian Sailing has established the Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Advisory Group. This team of eight dedicated experts has played a pivotal role in shaping a strategy for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in sailing. The Advisory Group's mission is to foster a safe environment that values, respects and welcomes everyone. We aim to empower individuals to engage, connect and thrive in all aspects of sailing.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategy:
Through consultation with clubs across the country, the Advisory group has helped Australian Sailing develop a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategy for Sailing for 2025-2028, aimed at driving meaningful change across the sailing community.
The strategy has five focus areas to achieve the vision and mission. The strategy articulates not only what will be done to achieve the desired outcome but also what success looks like for each of the five focus areas detailed in the Strategy:

● Visibility
