The Australian Sailing Learning Centre is your go to education and training hub, providing clubs, associations, members, volunteers, administrators, instructors, and coaches and officials in the sailing community provides access to a comprehensive catalogue of free online courses developed by Australian Sailing, the Australian Sports Commission and Sport Integrity Australia.

Sailing Instructor and Coach General Principles This course complements the Community Coaching Essential Skills course. Successful completion of both courses is a prerequisite for becoming an Australian Sailing qualified Instructor, or Coach. This course assumes that you have acquired the foundational knowledge from the Community Coaching Essential Skills course and will enhance this foundation by providing sailing-specific information essential for Australian Sailing accredited Instructors and Coaches to deliver quality experiences to their participants. |

It provides users with an understanding of discrimination and harassment and what to do if an incident occurs. |

Power Boat Program Essential Skills The aim of this course is to provide you with the tools and knowledge required before you attend the practical day of an Australian Sailing Powerboat Handling or Safety boat Operator course. This course will teach you the safety equipment and procedures, maritime regulation and navigation and boat handling techniques, as well as more advanced manoeuvres such as the rescue and righting of crafts, towing and the laying and recovering of regatta marks. |

Green Fleet Coaching Master Classes This course will equip you with the knowledge needed to gain the Foundation Coach accreditation and will build on your experience as an accredited instructor in Dinghy, Keelboat, Powerboat, or Windsurf programs. Upon successfully completing this course and holding an Australian Sailing Instructor qualification in any program (Dinghy, Keelboat, or Windsurf), you'll be accredited as a Foundation Coach. This qualification enables you to lead Green Fleet programs at your club and support Sailing Coaches with Intermediate and Advanced Fleet coaching. |
