Two major incident reports relating to safety incidents have been uploaded to the Australian Sailing website. The reports recently published are from the Miss Scarlett incident when the boat burned to the waterline and sank whilst on a delivery trip in Queensland. The other being Baci which was taking water and sank whilst competing in the Cape Naturaliste Return Race in Western Australia.

There is also a terrific video available online here of an interview with the skippers of Alliance and Ceilidh who tell their rescue story. Alliance took water and sank during the Newport Bermuda Race.

Each provides an important way to learn about and improve on safety aspects of our sport.
