Payment Classes

Payment classes are used to define your registration fees, or membership types/categories, within your account.

These are the categories for which members register/pay. Think of them as "buckets" or categories that members fall into. A member can hold a single membership type at any one time in a membership season, and can be upgraded/downgraded between different membership types.

  HOW TO

You can create your membership types by:

  • Go to Finance   payment classes.
  • Click   add payment class
  • Select the 'Fee type' as Registration fee
  • You will then need to map your payment class to its relevant National Member Type (see About National Payment Classes below)
  • Fill in the other details (e.g. the payment class name and amount).
The amount can be $0 (e.g. for Life Members, Volunteers, and Administrators). This is used to categorise these members into these non-paying membership types.
  • Under the Payment class restrictions header, you can set certain restrictions f or this payment class such as:
    • Minimum and/or maximum age.
    • If it is applied to new or returning members only.
    • If it is displayed at registration.
  •  If the Maximum or Minimum age has a padlock  next to it, this means that your state or national organisation has dictated the age restrictions already.
  • Then, click Add payment class.
